San Souci – 80 Market Street

Although San Souci is French for “free from care,” nothing could be further from the truth to describe a historic house than being free from care. As in Ingleside, the oldest section of this house (1850) is almost hidden behind newer construction of 1860 and in the mid-1880s. In the shaded yard surrounding the house is a variety of trees, the most outstanding of which is the towering beech.
