Derelict Property

The way we care for our homes is important. It affects many issues, such as aesthetics and quality of life, but also significant issues like health and safety.

Town ordinances also govern how we care for vegetation around our property.

If you see an abandoned property to which a person can gain access (windows and doors not boarded up) or you see vermin or snake infestation, please let the town know.  We cannot see everything a neighbor does.

Please contact the town if you see a structure with unmanaged vegetation around or on the house.

Each of us plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, well-cared-for town. By being vigilant and reporting any concerns, we can all contribute to our community’s overall safety and quality.
